A horrible anecdote
It happened two years back. Horror being one of my favorite
genres of movies, novels etcetera, I decided to write a horror story. A
dreadful story.
I was so excited when I held my pen to write. I wrote about
Jen, a History teacher, who was very cruel.
There was a story behind her cruel behavior. She had been nice once. As
my story progressed, I was getting more and more thrilled. I finished writing
page one.
Next day, I went to school. The day was hectic but story was
still on my mind. I came back and began writing. It was about events that would
eventually lead to the climax of the story. In these pages, a few students played
a terrible prank on the teacher which took her life. I wrote page two and
continued to page three and four. In
between writing, I felt asleep and saw a dream in which the story I had written
so far came.
On weekend, I typed
three pages on my laptop and continued writing story. It was page five where the
climax took place. The teacher’s ghost had begun haunting the students. When I finished writing, it was already night.
I ate dinner and went to sleep.
‘‘Destroy that story. I don’t want a story about me to be written.’’
I heard a creepy voice screaming.
I heard more weird noises. I felt that my throat was
compressed and I wasn’t able to utter a word. But I don’t know how I managed to shout and
called my mother. She came running to me. I said her that I was scared. She
slept next to me and I no more heard ghostly voices.
Out of panic and trepidation, next morning, I deleted that
story from my laptop and destroyed all the ink fed pages on which that story
was written. I felt calm.
